Xailin® Ectoine is for you if:
- You need symptomatic relief of year-round allergy-related irritation and dryness.

Composition: sodium hyaluronate, ectoine, fucoidan, perilla extract (Perilla frutescens), boric acid,
sodium tetraborate, sodium chloride, highly puried water.
How do the active ingredients of Xailin® Ectoine eye drops work?
• Sodium hyaluronate – a naturally occurring polysaccharide in the human body, including the vitreous body of the eye, is commonly known as a highly moisturising substance. The mucoadhesive properties of hyaluronic acid ensure better adherence of the preparation to the eye surface, which contributes to faster healing of the corneal epithelium, and thanks to the viscoelastic properties, it increases the stability of the tear lm, which is washed out much slower during blinking.
• Ectoine – a natural substance produced in the fermentation process by microorganisms living in extreme environmental conditions – extremophiles. Ectoine belongs to substances with hygroscopic (water binding / moisture absorption) and osmoprotective properties, thanks to which it moisturises the surface of the nasal mucosa, protects epithelial cells and stabilises cell membranes. Stabilisation of cell membranes, and consequently enhancement of tissue barrier function, may reduce allergen-membrane interactions and alleviate symptoms caused by inammation.
• Fucoidan – is a sulfonated polysaccharide of natural origin, which is part of the cell membranes of brown algae of the fucus type and aquatic animals (e.g. sea cucumbers and sea urchins). It is thanks to Fucoidan that the seaweed does not dry out during low tide and does not die under the inuence of the sun. The mucus with which they are covered also provides comprehensive protection against the harmful eects of external factors. Fucoidan is known to be used as a moisturising, hydrogel forming and humectant component.
• Perilla frutescens – is an annual oil plant from the Lamiaceae family. It exhibits a number of properties – from moisturising to soothing the symptoms associated with the occurrence of an allergic reaction in the mucous membranes
How much Xailin® Ectoine eye drops should you use?
It is recommended to instill 1 drop 3 times a day into the conjunctival sac of each eye. With severe
ailments, you can apply more often.

Xailin® Ectoine eye drops should be applied into the conjunctival sac.
When Xailin® Ectoine eye drops are contraindicated?
• Do not use in the case of hypersensitivity to any of its components.
• If an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use.

How to store Xailin® Ectoine eye drops?
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.
• Keep away from sources of heat.
• Store in a dry place at a temperature of 5°C to 35°C.
• Do not use the product after the expiration date printed on the package.
• The shelf life of the product is 3 months after rst opening the container.
• The bottle provides 1 month’s treatment following the recommended dosing. Discard the bottle
3 months after rst opening.
• Discard any unused solution.
Warnings and precautions:
• The preparation is intended for external use only.
• Do not use if package is damaged.
• Never touch your eye or any other surface with the tip of the dropper, this may contaminate the
solution.
• In the case of using other ophthalmic solutions you should wait at least 15 minutes before the
application of Xailin® Ectoine eye drops.
• Xailin® Ectoine should be administered last.
• The reusable medical device should be used by one patient
Xailin® Ectoine eye drops are intended for children over 6 years of age and adults.
